Chengdu is one of China's most relaxed and rewarding cities, but for a first-time foreign visitor the friction is real: ticket apps and QR menus are Chinese-only, cabs can be hard to flag, payment expects WeChat Pay or Alipay, and the famous panda base tickets sell out days ahead. A local companion removes all of that so you can simply enjoy the pandas, the tea houses and the food.
We travel with you through the day: getting you to the panda base early while the bears are active, calling and translating Didi rides, ordering the right dishes at the right spice level, buying tickets, taking your photos, and steering you away from tourist traps.
